Our Operational processes
We take responsibility for reusing plastic products and sorting materials. Our processes is to ensure recycled plastics that can serve as substitute for primary raw materials for plastics industries.
1. Sourcing & Collection:
We gather our materials from homes, businesses and communal collection points e.g waste/dump site. We as well receive from suppliers who don’t have capacity to process into secondary materials.
2. Sorting & categorizing:
This stage involved separating the pets based on cleanliness, dirtiness, colour to give a material suitable for recycling.. This stage is very crucial as it determines the final output. We do this manually which is done by the waste pickers and automatically with machine which removes label, cover etc.
3. Crushing or Shredding:
This is the phase where the pet bottles are broken into small pieces for easy reuse process. At this point the required size of the flakes (crushed pet bottles) is achieved as it is required by the processing company.
4. Washing:
We do washing at this stage with our machine to avoid contamination from either mixing non-recycleable plastics with recycleable plastics. Debris and impurities are as well removed at this stage to get a clean and quality flakes suitable for final usage.
5. Drying:
Drying machine removes excess water retention after washing so the actual weight is detected.
6. Bagging:
The flakes are subjected to lab analysis and testing to achieve the required quality. We bag in various ways, either with jumbo bags or regular sack as requested by our clients before we supply to them for final usage.
